HUNDREDS OF GIFTED ARTWORKS

Amazing gifted art, now called the Permanent Collection, and currently valued at over  a half million dollars, is being added to each month by  generous donors with the purpose of improving the lives of Southwest New Mexico residents and visitors. The Museum’s emphasis in its Permanent Collection is art produced in America, 1850 to contemporary times.  Invitational exhibitions may include art of other cultures and times. Types of art already in the Permanent Collection include: bronze and clay sculpture, paintings, original prints and drawings, photographs and contemporary ceramics.

DEVELOPING AN ARCHITECTURAL SPACE

The Board of Directors of Southwest Regional Museum of Art and Art Center invite you to join in the  development of an architectural space for the museum. This space will encompass our growing Permanent  Collection, curated exhibitions, lectures, tours, films, social events, library, art-making, art research, and “behind the scenes” space for cataloging,  preparing exhibitions, and doing needed restoration work. The goal is to purchase a 7,000 sq.ft. building and transform it into an ART Museum.
